Chris Mathews on twice

Here in Montreal we get Chris Mathews show at 5pm till 6pm then again at 7pm to 8pm, is this redundancy continent wide or just a regional phenomena up here in the northeast?
Much as i like MSNBC and all their talking heads Mathews is my least favorite of the bunch, although i generally agree what he has to say the ego the man has is colossal and he has this annoying trait of talking over his guests, continually butting in to his guests replies to his questions,a rather rude and irritating individual, surely MSNBC can fill one of Chris's time slots with some one else, i'd love to see Ron Reagan get his own show.

Agreed. It's not like most of us don't have a way to record him if his time slot isn't convenient. brewens Feb 2013 #4

there was somebody, anybody, to spare us Chris x 2? I feel the same way. He's annoying. And he's just not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

When I get home I usually start with Bashir, then The Young Turks, both recorded. I then go to live MSNBC and may or may not catch Matthews. I have Rachel recorded but she's usually on by the time I go to live MSNBC.

I can't really see any need to have Mattews on twice or how it could hurt to give one of his slots to anyone good.

But I enjoy his angle, and find it more interesting than some of the others. Just my opinion.

I just can't figure out why he has guest when he talks all over them, then he answer the questions that he ask himself.
I see Chris has taken to issuing compliments to his guests to make up for his bad manners.

What are the chances of him coming back with Countdown? I miss that show.
