Mash the Media

Nearly every episode of Mash shows doctors helping wounded soldiers. However, when the "Media" isn't making incredible factual errors covering massive breaking news stories, they're shilling for the oligarchs by covering the "no-there-there" stories.

The media should emulate Mash, in every episode, by covering stories that really matter in people's lives. For instance they could cover the people killed by the NRA's guns over the past 24 hours. Or they could cover the fossil fuel's global warming catastrophe. After all, blood-for-oil was not enough to satisfy this monster. They already have the air we breath, the water we drink, so why not the entire planet. Cancer Canyons anyone?

Why not cover economic inequality in every episode of the news? We know that equality and freedom go hand-in-hand. Over the past 30 years, we've lost our freedom. Not the pseudo-freedom that the NRA keeps talking because they're loosing the right to carry nuclear weapons on a plane. While the NRA complained, the oligarchs took complete control of our government and its agenda. The truth is that the media and the politicians have had their heads up Ronald Reagan's free-market derriere for the past 30 years.

Hey media, talk about things like this every episode! Meanwhile, good-bye MSNBC and Current TV. You too progressive radio (except Randi Rhodes of course.) I don't give a F about the "no-there-there" stories and I won't let the oligarchs set the agenda.
