BREAKING: Chris Jansing personally helped with the royal birth

several weeks after she personally almost helped with the burial of Nelson Mandela.

Several weeks ago she flew to South Africa, to "report" about the last days of Mandela. Well, he is alive and kicking so she came back.

This morning she was in London, after taking the red eye to do.... what, exactly?

Certainly in London, NBC and MSNBC (perhaps even CNBC) have plenty of reporters and royal mavens. Not to mention right here Martin Bashir.

Why this ego trip? Some years back, when Israel's Ariel Sharon lapsed into a coma, Wolf Blitzer spent more than a week there, waiting to report of the death.

Watching Chris Matthews, by the way, one of the NBC reporters told about a study in anthropology, where chimpanzees were curious about the life of other, "celebrity" chimps. Was funny. I guess she was trying to kill time.

Later, another commentator "predicted" the next day headline: NBC reporter held in the Tower of London for comparing William and Kate to "celebrity chimpanzees..

Oh well...

Mandela was on his "death bed," per all reports, but he is a tough and resilient man. I don't know how much he will recover, but he is not ready to go quite yet.
