But his brashness turned many people off. My wife, a life long Democrat, did not like him at all. She would leave the room when he was on.

The doings at Current TV just reinforced the attitudes that getting rid of him was not such a bad idea. He also violated the rule that news people should remain, or at least look, apolitical by giving to campaigns right before an election.

He was part of that whole MSNBC Boys Club in 2008 who excoriated Hillary. I couldn't take it after a while. And he was a bit schticky. Remember his "Special Reports" or whatever he called them where he'd dramatically turn to face the camera and then spend like 20 minutes trying to be Edward R. Murrow?
