Fort Lauderdale, Florida (CNN) Yujing Zhang, the Chinese woman arrested at Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump's private Florida club, earlier this year, has been found guilty on counts of unlawfully entering a restricted building and making false statements to a federal officer.
Prosecutors called nine witnesses in a trial that lasted two days. Zhang chose to represent herself during the trial with assistance from the Federal Public Defender's office and court-appointed translators.
Zhang was soft-spoken Wednesday, as she has been all week, before being escorted away by marshals. She will remain in custody until her sentencing in late November. She faces up to six years in prison.
Jurors did not begin deliberations with their minds made up, and were not fazed by the attention on the trial, juror Nibaldo Padilla told CNN in an interview after the verdict was read shortly after 2 p.m. ET.
