Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Sinclair back in Fort Bragg courtroom Tuesday

Jeffrey Sinclair, the Army brigadier general facing a court-martial on accusations of sexual misconduct with a captain and inappropriate behavior with other women, returns to a Fort Bragg courtroom today to try to stave off his pending trial.

A judge at a pretrial hearing scheduled for today through Friday could hear more than two dozen motions from Sinclair's lawyers, a person close to the defense team said Monday.

These likely will include requests that, if granted, could postpone the court-martial and possibly derail the prosecution, the source said.

A Fort Bragg spokesman said prosecutors provided no information about the actions expected at the hearing.

unhappycamper comment: If Secretary Hagel is serious about putting a stop to sexual misconduct in the military, Jeffery Sinclair and this Captain are good places to make a start. --> http://www.armytimes.com/article/20130513/NEWS/305130032/Hagel-open-all-options-deal-military-sex-assaults
