Gary Sinise is coming to my community to support a local disabled vet

Some of the students at one local high school in Lancaster, CA took an oath to build a new home for wounded warrior Jerral Hancock. The students dubbed their project OATH--Operation All the Way Home--and they have closed on a property and raised more than $160,000 so far.

Now Gary Sinise has taken the oath and will perform here with his band May 10 to support Jerral Hancock.

The idolize, "McCarthy as a heroic victim of traitorous communists who pose as being members of the Democrat Party. Ann Coulter, a Friends of Abe darling who spoke at one of its events, wrote a book called Slander that defends McCarthy as the ultimate patriot and insults McCarthy’s opponents, who included the five-star General George Marshall, as traitors."

"Before Republican Senator Ted Cruz flew to Los Angeles to speak to Hollywood’s secretive right-wing organization, Friends of Abe (FOA), Cruz suggested to the Hollywood Reporter that IRS’s reluctance to immediately ordain FOA as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax-free charity was a left-wing government conspiracy. (IRS exemption requirements for 501(c)(3) charities can be found here.)"

so yeah, I do have a problem with it I guess

he never got a chance to serve, since many in his family did. He claims that he lost his chance to serve because he turned 18 in 73', the year the draft ended.

Perhaps he is yellow. He could have always volunteered to join.

7. IRS Grants Non-Profit Status to Hollywood Conservative Group Friends of Abe (3.16.14)

Hollywood’s largest fellowship of conservatives and right-of-center independents, Friends of Abe, has been granted 501(c)3 non-profit status by the Internal Revenue Service, about three years after it first sought the designation.

Jeremy Boreing, lead organizer for the group who has been serving as its executive director, said their attorney received word late on Friday that they had been granted the status.

The organization has operated as a fellowship for conservatives in an industry with a leftward tilt. Launched almost 10 years ago, it has included such figures as Kelsey Grammer, Jon Voight and Gary Sinise among its members, and a roster of speakers that has included Paul Ryan, Herman Cain, Eric Cantor and, most recently, Ted Cruz.

But even with its ideological bent, its organizers have emphasized that does not raise money for candidates or engage in elective politics.

Rather, it has been set up as a conservative educational fellowship, and it sought the status as its membership grew to the point where they needed to pay for office overhead, Boreing said. The status will allow the group to accept charitable contributions.

This is about local disabled vet Jerral Hancock and the fact that Sinise's involvement will help his cause.

I attend most of OATH's events supporting Jerral Hancock, and I'll be at Sinise's fundraising concert with bells on--despite his politics. And I am VERY proud or what these Oath students are doing--and doing so effectively--for Jerral.
