VIRGINIA BEACH

Rudolph Nanez and Jessica Youness sat on their couches Wednesday and worried.

Family photos lined the wall behind them. A nativity scene adorned the window sill. Their dog Bella barked outside.

And boxes sat in the corner, filled with some of their belongings.

Nanez, a Navy veteran, and his wife must move out of their Virginia Beach home by Sunday. Employment has been elusive, and they can no longer afford the rent. They received an eviction notice in June.
