Army sergeant major to receive Medal of Honor for saving 75 hostages from ISIS

“An Army sergeant major will be awarded the Medal of Honor for his remarkable bravery during a 2015 mission to free hostages from the Islamic State group, The White House announced Thursday.

Sgt. Maj. Thomas P. Payne, 36, will receive the nation's highest award for battlefield heroism during a ceremony at The White House on Sept. 11, according to the announcement, which said Payne's "extraordinary heroism and selfless actions were key to liberating 75 hostages during a contested rescue mission that resulted in 20 enemy fighters killed in action."

Somewhere there is a picture of him rocking brown corcoran jump boots with the new uniform.

There is a short video attached.

He came out of the Ranger Regiment which is why he’s wearing that beret.
