what the difference is between seniors and Babyboomers? I had no idea there was a babyboomer group back on DU2.

That makes me a pre-boomer, born in 1942. My sister, born in 1947 is a 'boomer'.

Hee hee...!

Maybe they should change the name of this group to "AARP Eligible" and there might be a few more takers!

Everything else is going downhill, but I can still hear without a hearing aid.

I haven't gotten to the hearing aid point quite yet, either. I probably will, eventually.

I also get advertisements for these crappy Geezer-centric apartment complexes. I'd sooner cut my own throat!

I just finished reading the TOS, and I am wondering why it is apparently not against the rules to ridicule the elderly. Race and gender bashing isn't OK, but I guess it's OK to make Depends jokes and whatnot about people in my age group. I'm almost 68 and don't wear Depends, but I still find nothing funny about the ridiculing of elderly people.

I think context is of utmost importance. I have an auntie in her nineties who sends all of us her MAXINE cartoons, which talk about sagging, pooping, farting, bad plumbing, pills and so forth, and we all get a good laugh from them. They joke about the unfortunate realities of aging. That doesn't make the jokes meanspirited. Laughing WITH is fine--at, not so much.

At least that's how I see it.

I will be 59 in a few months. I have been on disability for quite a few years. I won the war I had with cancer but it left me with many battle scars. I relate to both groups.
