I had my annual check-up

Got a good report on the bloodwork, cholesterol is down, triglycerides way down. I think my plan is working. I put cinnamon in my first cup of coffee every morning and eat an avocado almost every day. Cinnamon for blood sugar and avocado for cholesterol

Since Covid, every time I come home from being around people, I wash my hands, and then wipe my face with the alcohol. I usually have a shot of vodka, to sanitize the pipes The bottle of vodka is much larger than the bottle of alcohol, so it lasts longer. It's all medicinal

Greatly reducing my butter intake for a year, plus becoming more physically active, caused a lowering of my cholesterol level.

I use a mix of olive oil and butter, but go lightly on both. I've been very busy this year, keeps me out of the fridge! lol

Last year, the doctor recommended using olive oil. I followed that advice for a while, then I realized that I do not need to use much oil or grease anyway. I started using a moderate amount of bacon grease on the infrequent occasions when I need to fry something. Also, when I bake a cake, I do not put cooking oil in the batter. I use applesauce and a dallop of bacon grease. Seven months ago, I started working part time at a grocery store. The experience is productive from both exercise and knowledge perspectives. Take care.

Usually moderate walking, though the other day I did a Kathy Smith walk that was a little more intense than I expected. Got through it, though.

I walk with my grand dogs a few times a week, and other short walks up and down steps , in the vintage mall where my booth is. out in the yard, I'll be doing that more now as I start feeding the birds more often.

I'm often carrying something, and sometimes, it's quite a workout getting a box from here to there

Keep up your exercise. It really keeps you healthy!

I used to exercise more in the afternoon, but my doctor told me to exercise in the morning because of the melatonin your body generates naturally in the morning. (I have sleep issues) Anyway, I listen to Keith Olbermann's podcast or a book (currently, finishing "What Happened" by Hillary Clinton).
