I've fallen into the donut hole and it's only May !

Usually it hits late September early October, but for some reason it's happening already, and the only been new drug I've been prescribed for ( Eliquis ) has never purchased until today.
My wife always tells me I should read the annual info pact from United Health, but what does she know.

begins once you reach your Medicare Part D plan's initial coverage limit ($3,820 in 2019) and ends when you spend a total of $5,100 out of pocket in 2019. 2019 Donut Hole Discount: Part D enrollees will receive a 75% Donut Hole discount on the total cost of their brand-name drugs purchased while in the Donut Hole.

Spouse reached the donut hole around May but it did not apply in 2017 and last year and I think because all the meds are now generic.
