1. Well, there is a study that indicates handling guns increases testosterone and aggression.

Truthfully, I think white wing racism is at the core of gun proliferation in this country. Not every gun owner directly; but if by some miracle, racists quit buying guns, the market would all but dry up. All gun owners who oppose tough regulation are at a minimum contributing to just about every gun death, if only indirectly.

6. Millions of black men (and women) need to be photographed buying AR-15s

There need to be lines trailing down streets from gun stores -- around blocks. there need to be drone shots on every news outlet. White and Off-White America, even Taupe America will freak out.

Legislators will find it impossible to make assault weapon ownership for just African Americans illegal. Though they may try, a supreme court strike-down would be certain. So, scared white Americans would opt to make all assault weapons sales illegal. The 3% of whites who own 80+% of guns would scream -- at least until they realized the value of the 10 guns they have buried out by the outhouse just quadrupled in value.

And that's how assault weapons become illegal.

4. The second amendment is just an excuse. Real cause is desire for violence/control and paranoia.

A deadly combination.

Violent people love to make excuses for their actions, religion, government, some sort of cause.

Men have ruled the planet for millennia. Perhaps they should take a time out for awhile and chill out. Take some yoga classes and let women run the show for the time being.

9. Why do men like to kill things? Evolution?

The killing of animals, people.

Does it go back to man as hunter?
Man as protector against intruders?

Men who could kill things helped the family and tribe survive?

10. Well it's affection, really

Anything that provides us with enjoyment becomes an object of affection. People who love roller coasters are seldom content to only go to the first one they encountered at the county fair. They travel -- sometimes basing their entire vacations on a coaster destination. They seek the biggest, the fastest and, to be sure, the scariest. They may choose lifelong companions based on that pursuit. It's similar, at least from the standpoint of affection, for gun lovers. Fortunately, roller coasters are too big to fit in a pocket and too cumbersome to launch a flesh-rending projectile. Otherwise, people would be using them to rob liquor stores left and right.
