Hi

Just want everyone to know that you have (albeit a lonely one) a fighter for equality and diversity. It's not easy being a liberal where I live. I just want to spread the news that even in the reddest of hillbilly world, I will be a soldier for equality. We are one race - the human race. The golden rule represents us. We WILL overcome.

Much love.

to be my favourite christian hymn. People who fight for justice and dignity for all, people who fight in big ways and small, they are just the greatest eggs in my book.

so I have some appreciation of what it's like for you. And I appreciate your fighting the good fight.

Are you a fan of Trae Crowder, by any chance? He's from Tennessee.

He performs with two other comedians, and they're all great. Look for "Wired comedy tour."

I'm grateful that actual friends I have turned out to be fellow liberals, guess that's why I liked them. Before 9/11 woke me up, I rarely discussed politics with anyone - except maybe on election day, just asking people if they voted. But now it's one of the first things everyone wants to talk about, usually about the horrors of Trump. However, I know that I have to be careful around those I don't know, everyone has such strong opinions now. Though I could probably handle it better than I could in the past. My one negative experience was an elderly man who started shouting at me in the PetsMart parking lot because he noticed the "New Yorkers for Kerry/Edwards" sticker on my car. I also live in Republican country. Thanks for fighting the good fight! And you have kindred spirits and friends here!

I'm not now living in redstate land, but I'm from there, and lived most of my life there. So I know what it's like. And you're right: "We WILL overcome." Never give up.
