(34,405 posts)I weep for my country.
it seems FUBAR, but I call SNAFU. We just have to change basic direction and political leadership. Okay the NY victory is a welcome harbinger of defeat for the forces of fascism and racial/cultural hate that currently is openly oppressing and ignoring basic human rights of brown people(s).
Human rights are a battle. Racial/cultural, most racial animosity and fear between AA and by extension Africa and most other races and cultures, expressly european. This generation's long simmer is getting old. It's mean out there. Sitting in the comfort of relative peace at my writing desk. This growing white cover-up discussion on "civility" is manufactured to distract. The RW hate machine must be turned off. This must be addressed. Rant, rage on public soapboxes. Before FUBAR is called. Someone declared general/specific "WAR" today. We are full in it, quiet as it's kept..

I will be out there voting for that reason in the next election as well.
I just hope the message is clear enough to break through and we get our 'blue wave'.
