Son of the South - Amazon

If you get a chance - its based on Bob Zellner's memoir as the first white field organizer for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. Dedicated to his friend and mentor John Lewis.

The images and story are sticking with me. Lewis, Rosa Parks, Bob Moses, and Virginia Durr show up as key people in his life. Also addresses the murder of Robert Lee in McComb Mississippi.

Good one to watch with your children to spark their interest in who these people were.

ETA - Chuck McDew is only in it for a few minutes - but its sheer comedic gold. He and Zellner were actually very good buddies and got into a lot of arrests together.
