On Mayor Adams....

It is still yet early in the Mayor's tenure. However, there are already some pretty interesting conversations surrounding the Mayor and some of his statements. Here is one such conversation about the Mayor's statements concerning low skilled workers......

This is a "dinner table" level discussion that beautifully articulates the complexities within our politics.

I think that's why I like him.

I too - have a tendency to tick off far left white liberals.

I too - have a tendency to piss off young black and fabulous liberals.

At the end of the day - I'm more conservative on some things, and more liberal on others.

He represents a different type of politician - who just HAPPENS to be a black man. This is a good watch.

I love the richness of this discussion. Each one of these ladies, including the moderator, could have been someone from my family. The way they teased out their differences with such grace and respect .......love it!

On edit: the phrase, " who just happens to be a black man", is pretty heavy too. This clip is long but has some very worthy moments.

I'm changing my default setting language in advance of the major switch that will occur in the next ten years . . .

That is - if the GOP doesn't take over, and place minorities into camps or give us 'life' if we choose sterilization. Like - I know that is probably going to sound goofy and ct like -

But I don't trust those people. Assuming we bring them to heel (very much pointed language) -

Default setting is non-white by the time I'm pushing 60.
