Amazing. And Elvis got to be the biggest thing ever in Rock and Roll. A stolen legacy.

Ike Turner is actually credited with recording the very Rock and Roll record, "Rocket 88", in 1951. It was sung by Jackie Brenston who was a sax player in Turner's band. It was credited to Jackie Brenston and the Delta Cats.
