I didn't know he was that old. I thought he was great!

Iron Eagle was a Trader Joe's Top Gun but fun. Enemy Mine was odd but entertaining.

Jaws 3 was one sequel too many.

Enemy Mine is a pretty underrated sci-fi flick. He and Dennis Quaid were an excellent pairing.

Or Galactica 1980 to be accurate.

There was an episode, "The Return of Starbuck" where one of the human pilots (Starbuck) crashes on a planet alongside a Cylon. They go from trying to kill each other to working together to survive. Even has the plot points of the child and the Cylon dying after being injured saving the human after they became friends.

I watched the Battlestar Galactica reboot which was really good, but never really watched the original.

Probably some story from WWII or earlier where something like that happened.


The Battlestar Galactica reboot was great. The original series had some great ideas and concepts - but it was a fairly campy production. But definitely a worthwhile show. The second show (second season?), Galactica 1980 was pretty terrible. The enemy mine type episode was the only memorable one for me.

(Well - memorable for being good that is. I remember one episode with Cylons running around in New York City that had Wolfman Jack in it - but can’t say it was very good)

that ends with, “I got nowhere else to go” was fabulous.

RIP, Sir.

I hope his passing was peaceful. He'll be remembered through his work.

I actually thought about how he was doing and that I hadn't heard about him in a while. So sad to see this news today.
