Reading THE INSTITUTE. **Possible spoilers

I Just finished the first part. I was just getting interested in it, it was about this man who was going to New York. He decided to hitchhike from Florida to New York. And he ended up in a small town in South Carolina (fictional, the small town, not South Carolina. Although I wonder if even King could create a politician as whacko as Lindsey Graham.).

Anyway, I want to keep reading about the characters in SC, not read about the Smart Kid.

Oh, i’m not much younger than Stephen King, and I’ve lived my entire life in South Carolina, and I had to Google to find out what Wickles are.

quite a while, but having been born in SC, I guess I'll have to read it. I know lots of people who are hooked on Wickles. Even the hospital gift shop sold them for awhile.

The kids part is awesome.

This is, in my estimation, one of King's best. This is like Firestarter good. Easily top 3 for me with King (only if you count Dark Tower series as one book, of course).

I wonder if SK hadn't been a writer, he might've been a good psychological counselor. He seemed to have a good grasp of how the kids' behavior changed as events unfolded.

Hang in there, it winds up back in SC!!! I loved this book...one of King's best and an incredible metaphor for the trump era!
