Related: About this forum'Heaven & Earth Grocery Store' or 'Middlemarch'. What to read next?
Just finishing Hanif Abdurraqib's amazing "There's Always This Year: On Basketball and Ascension" (not fiction, but Abdurraqib is an incredible writer from Ohio) and was all set to start McBride next.
But, I've never read 'Middlemarch' and it's been popping up all over the place for me. Having a little moment. Almost feels like a sign.

A nice start to Middlemarch on the deck just might work.

I don't usually read more than one fiction book at a time, but maybe it's time for an exception.

I scored an e-book edition from the library. This is the first book we have chosen which is readily available for our e-readers (lots of copies)

It does start slowly - fair warning - with a huge payoff.
