Just finished it on audiobook. I didnt care much for this book; I just didnt find it very interesting.
Amazon reviews seem to think this book wasnt nearly as good as some of the others in the series.
If that is the case, I may try some others in the series.

The relaunch of the series, "The Cat Who Saw Red."
The beginning of the "Moose County" series, "The Cat Who Played Post Office."
Each of them is a good jumping on point since they mark major changes in tone. You can start at any point without having read anything before, but the books right after each are better if you read the ones before.

(115,818 posts)couple days. I came out thinking there was no way the main character was a man, or written by a man. I don't know any man who continually talks about his fluffy mustache, but I guess maybe someone could have. But the best part was lots of ideas for dinner menus.
Reading them in order is a good recommendation as each can stand on its own but also builds from the previous one. I didn't realize she relaunched the series (saw red), thanks.

(9,612 posts)between "Turned On and Off" and "Saw Red." That meant she needed to recap everything for new readers and the change in style came about because of her growth as a writer.
