Isalys Chipped Ham, Klondikes, and Other Tales from Behind the Counter.
The 148-page book, by award-winning author Brian Butko, features more than 400 historic images and illustrations and is now available in the History Center Museum Shop and online store.
In addition to his latest work, Butko has researched and written books on the history of Kennywood, Luna Park and the Lincoln Highway, along with other popular history that chronicles Pittsburgh and beyond. Butko serves as the History Centers director of publications and the editor of its Western Pennsylvania History magazine.

The 'Isaly ham' had a distinct flavor and anyone who ever had it would not be satisfied with "any ham".
It's apparently only available now at four locations in Canton, OH.

pack it in dry ice,
and ship one or two day delivery
in an insulated container.

The recipe posted above looks pretty good, I'd give it a try.
It always makes me sad to think about how many historic places like this have been disappearing, to make room for more of the same bland corporate chains.

Chiptam is still the best comfort food
And folding a Klondike wrapper around the ice cream treat became an art form.
