Related: About this forumThat Librarian by Amanda Jones
Bloomsbury Publishing, NYC, 2024
Tiny Louisiana town school librarian becomes a vicious target of the nationwide book banning extremists.
She is naive, grownup white and Christian in a town where everyone does know your name.
Until the barrage of death threats from these same lifelong friends lead by dark money vigilantes.
Her terror trying to keep her family safe. Her legal fight. Her long overdue coming of age confronting her own white privilege and Christianity.
An emotionally difficult book.
A nightmare but also the awakening of the resistance to hate.

here in Houston area. They signed a proclamation to NOT ban books.
