Just finished TO END ALL WARS by Adam Hochschild, about WWI.

To end all wars : a story of loyalty and rebellion, 1914-1918 / Adam Hochschild

Boston : Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2011.

I found it very interesting. It's told mostly from a UK perspective but includes some about the French, Germans, etc.

He gives a lot of interesting details, and goes into the lives of some people involved, many of them people who were CO's
or spoke out against the war. He includes a lot about resistance to the war, especially in the UK.
