Recommending Solstice Wood, by Patricia A. McKillip

It was in the YA section of the used bookstore in Independence. MO, where I bought it, but my 70-year old mother took pleasure from this wonderful story by one of my favorite authors. The story really moves, right from the beginning, and the outcome is not clear even near the very end. The concept is as original as the "fae folk among us" genre probably could be. I thoroughly enjoyed Solstice Wood and I hope you read it.

I don't think I've read her work before, but I like urban fantasy a la DeLint, Gaimon etc. I will look for it and give her a try. Thanks for the recommend.

incredibly lyrical writer. All of her books read like music played by a master orchestra.
