If you notice a TOON being repeated from an earlier post of mine, there's only two reasons
for this phenomenon 1) I'm getting forgetful 2)some deserve to be seen more often.

Dr. Suess's "NYE" comic has me baffled. I get his point but can't find the connection. It ain't New Year's Eve.
New York something?

(19,701 posts)9. OUCH, quit twisting my arm to go discover stuff
What I found was Dr Seuss was going after a Gerald Nye........
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_Nye
Gerald Prentice Nye (December 19, 1892 July 17, 1971) was an American politician who represented North Dakota in the United States Senate from 1925 to 1945. He was a Republican and supporter of World War II-era isolationism, chairing the Nye Committee which studied the causes of United States' involvement in World War I.

(19,701 posts)12. Well that was his last name
Plus where I'm finding these he will be showing up again, Dr Seuss did not like the isolationists like Nye or
Charles Lindbergh.
