Petiton Aims to Have Outkast Carved Onto Stone Mountain

http://atlanta.suntimes.com/atl-news/7/78/186605/outkast-stone-mountain

The sculpture, carved into the side of the mountain, depicts Confederate war heroes Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson.

Atlanta’s NAACP chapter and others want to see it sand-blasted off, while the monument’s supporters see no reason for it to come down.

That’s where a third party came in.

One redditor started a petition to get Outkast etched on the mountain—giving an all new meaning to “2 Dope Boyz In a Cadillac”.

He writes, “By no means do we wish to erase or destroy the current carving, which, regardless of its context, is an impressive and historic work of art. We simply wish to add new carvings, of Atlanta hip-hop duo Outkast, to the mountainside.”

The Outkast suggestion is because they're from Atlanta.

I got that..... once I read the article.

I still like P-Funk's music better, though.
