Is Poetry in Our Blood

Poetry is in every life expression.
Good or bad
boring or sad
Poetry is contained in every cell in every animal.
I believe this.

And I believe that Poetry is in all living things,
animal or plant.

I even think it's there somewhere in inanimate objects,
All the rocks, All the elements; somehow I feel as if it is the native
sensitivity that affects how anything reacts, however short-or long it resides
where-ever anything itself sits
there is the notion of some poetic manifestation

even if you don't think you can write
a single verse

And it is not always easy knowing this
especially for those who live.

In all serouseness
even though I'm only so old
both my parents were born in 1923
I myself the youngest of ten children
can appreciate

A time when physicians made house calls
as well as genuine poetry

that was as some might say brilliant
such that it bestowed
essential truths

William Carlos Williams

"This is just to say"

if anything was everything

Like it should be said

in the most simplest form earnest poetry

I think that would make the most sense!
