Poetry
Related: About this forumI'm looking for a needle in a haystack of a poem.
Many, many years ago I came across a short poem about ordinary people. I do not know the author, but it describes a brief encounter with this "ordinary" person. It involved a casual interaction, and then the ordinary person was back to withdrawing in his world.
It may be written by a Brit.
I know, it's not much to go by. Like I said, a needle in a haystack.

(147 posts)On Quota, there's a Poetry topic you can ask your question to it's followers. The app helped me, a few weeks ago, when I wanted to know the name of a movie, I posted my question, I wrote about what I saw, which was the last 5 minutes of the film. Within 5 minutes someone responded with the movie title. I posted my question to different topics, such as: 'movies' '1930s and 40s movies'. Good luck!

(147 posts)Quota has 100s of topics. There is a topic called Literature, which have people asking and discussing subtopics such as: Poets, poetry, writers, books, etc. You name a topic, and they have it. I'm following over 40 topics. They range from, the USA, movies, celebrities, social studies, the military, drummers, politics, etc. You're given 500 credits, when you join. When you ask a question, you're deducted 50 pts, you can then choose (if you want to) from a list, any person(s), to answer your question. If you don't choose anyone, it may take longer to get an answer. Each person has a credit price. So if you choose John Doe he has 150 credit price, you'll be deducted that amount. You can accumulate credits, by answering other people's questions; and you get 10 credits, whenever someone up votes your answer. I joined Quota on September 13, 2014. I have 10,790 credits. I've asked about 10 questions. You can follow as many topics as you want, and you learn a lot of interesting stuff. And it's free.
