the black sky

the black sky

too many stars are shining tonight in the black sky
sparkling and dazzling bright cut as sharp as knifes
mock weak words rhyming tears from a single eye
hiding sorrows and blight a cold heart beats strifes
wisps of icy breaths rise steal the warmth of inside
to drift above the heart eclipse both mind and soul
as thunder of silent cries ignores the gods all abide
separate sad spirits apart both shattered and whole
now losing the focus in time the murmuring louder
mourning moments merge as the snow slowly melts
in a kingdom of ice sublime granite turns to powder
as emotions sink and surge expose bruises and welts
dark clouds cover the scene to administer a poison
glimpse the glistening sheen in full sin and noisome
