to be able to follow her...Now I really enjoy the stories..

(21,933 posts)While I am more into epic fantasy, her SF is very good. You have to sort through the Dragon series to find them though.
My favorite SF of all time is Stephen R. Donaldson's Gap series. You will NOT be disappointed.

Robert Charles Wilson. My favorite of his is "A Bridge of Years".
Jack McDevitt. He has two series going, and they are both excellent.
