It's how I wrote my script that sold but never shot.

What scriptwriting software are you using? I recommend using scriptwriting software, it makes it so much easier to write script. If you don't want to shell out a few hundred dollars, there is a decent not-great open-source freeware offering called CeltX. It's powerful and intuitive and it'll save you a few thousand keystrokes in formatting.

Edit: I generally don't favor Scriptfrenzy because it's actually too long time-wise. 100 page script in 30 days is 3 pages a day. A page of dialogue is at-most 250 words, A page of setting or direction is maybe 350 words. It might take 30 days from genesis through notecards and plotting to finish writing a script but the writing itself should be fairly-quick if you've fleshed out the idea and answered the questions.

Edit 2: Research is the time-suck in scriptwriting.

The ScriptFrenzy folks recommended it. I think it works great.

Thanks for the tips. I think I'm going to do it again this year, but rewrite my old script.
