Argentina/Switzerland game. In this play, Messi was called offside, when he was actually onside! ...

Zoom In. The defenders arm is extended making Messi onside.
FIFA usually displays the animation technology, to show the player offside to prove they got it right.
In this play, FIFA never produced the animation technology to show Messi offside.

because you can't touch the ball/score with your arm...unless you're the cheating argies.

My issue is the implementation of the offsides rule.
I find the offside rule in soccer is arbitrary & inconsistent.
And the call can be based on team or player as to what the call will be.

Very frustrating.
