Nets Decision On Irving Getting Panned

I went Christmas shopping for my wife today and listened to both Chicago sports radio stations.
Then I watched Get Up (before I left the house) & First Take when I got home.
100% of the commentators were trashing the Nets for abandoning principle. They were trashing them for doing this, especially for a guy that "can't be trusted". (Heard the trust thing from 6 people, including Steven A. Smith.)
I hope it's universal among these commentators because the Nets & Irving deserve everything they're getting.

It would be helpful to know what the 'decision' is, for context :) nt Hugh_Lebowski Dec 2021 #1

I wrongly assumed sports fans have heard.
They've decided to let him play away games, but not practice & he still can't play against the Raptors, Warriors or Knicks. (Those cities have vaccine mandates to be in those arenas.)
So, he can't play home games, can't go to the practice facilities & the Nets only have 4 practices scheduled on the road for the rest of the season!
So, he gets 50% of his salary for playing 90% of their remaining away games & 4(!) practices.
BTW: The Nets are in first place in the eastern conference without him after 3/8ths of the season.
