name mentioned several times before the race, but couldn't get what was said... except I think I heard a commentator say something like Secretariat lost 2 races after his Triple Crown. That was unnecessary!! He had a virus, poop coming out like from a spigot, and he wasn't trained... but Laurin and Chenery still raced him. Turcotte gave many broad hints that he didn't think the horse was up to racing. His exercise rider reported that the horse wasn't responding.

Next year will be the 50th anniversary of Secretariat's Triple Crown records. I hope the racing groups find a way to reintroduce him to
people who may not know what an athlete he was!!
