Why do the Olympics

Make me cry? Am I alone? It’s so good to see so many people, from all over the world compete peacefully. These Olympic Games, especially, in the City of Love, Paris, seem to have been the best nes I have seen (on TV) in my nearly 70 years here.
Wondering if anyone else feels the same way.

When I see those young people from all over the world, I tear up. When I watched them dancing in Mexico City or the photo of the North and South Koreans taking a selfie on the podium. Puddles

Watching a young woman from Algeria win a gold medal despite horrific things said about her. You go girl!

They give me hope.
