The Browns are stuck with a lot of bad karma. Good luck

2. Gotta love how the team boasted Watson didn't need to play in pre-season

Sound like he and Ken Dorsey sucked today, judging by the stats. I'll watch the game on tape delay.

I’m a Saints/Eagles. The Browns had few highlights but they had a fancy 50 yard line logo from the teams past. And I’m proud of the Browns fans. Stay true to your team.

And one other thing. It was Tom Brady’s first broadcast. Not bad, but no Brady fane here.

He's still recovering from surgery relating to last year's very serious knee injury. He won't play until at least Week 5 this season.

…. for > half the season, and the 2024 season is just getting started

So far he has been a bust but the Texans made out like champ by trading him to
Cleveland. Cleveland should have dumped him and kept Flacco.

by mistake while trying to learn to surf the net. Said they were at his home in the garage and he didn't even have to close the doors. He just painted a goal line across the doorway and they refuse to cross it.

10. The best part is how badly the Browns have f-ed their salary cap situation

even accepting that they gave their sex pest QB $46M/yr over 5 year. They've tried to be clever and him sucking and/or getting hurt have made them miss their window most likely.

They have paid him $46M each of these first three years, but have jiggered the contract in such a way to minimize how much it counts against the cap each year. Yet that is robbing Peter to pay Paul; every dollar paid to a player counts against the cap within 5 years maximum and often much less, depending on the contract structure. By the end of this season they will have paid him $138M, but only accounted for $57M on their cap. That missing $81M which has been paid but not accounted for will hit their cap over the next three years, as will the $92M left to be paid over the 4th and 5th years. There will be a roster fire sale (with or without a Superbowl) -- his cap number for each of the next two years stands at $73M, with another $27M the year after when he isn't even under contract anymore.
