Former NFL player Nate Burleson had a strong message to share with the grumpy people who have expressed frustration and outrage at Taylor Swifts appearance at Kansas City Chiefs games.
The pop superstar attended several games during the 2023 NFL season to support her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and just last week, she attended the first game of the 2024 season.
Her appearances at games became a point of contention last year among some football fansa reaction that Swift herself addressed while calling out the dads, Brads and Chads during her 2023 Person of the Year interview with Timeand she already seems to be stirring controversy as the new season kicks off.
Burleson, 43, defended the Fortnight songstress while discussing her inclusion in new NFL promotional footage on CBS Mornings last week. He later shared a clip of his comments on Instagram.

I don't know if they still do this since he's no longer with the team, but they always showed Ciara when Russel Wilson played for the Seahawks.

(6,787 posts)Objecting to the appearance of Taylor Swift, or anyone else, at a game, was irrelevant for the sixty years between 1960 and 2020, and as far as I know, clear back to the beginning of the league.
It would be puzzling that this would happen now; it would not be so puzzling if we find that there are MAGAs at these games.

(14,436 posts)She and Kelce attended the US Open men's final yesterday and of course the network covered it. Honestly, with the lagging popularity of tennis in the US, fans should be happy that someone as popular as Swift showed up because it draws attention to the sport. I mean, Ted Cruz was also there and who would you rather have in attendance?
