Now, there are very good dealers out there in the market place, I've seen some of them and the quality work that they put into their RVs. I can't recall them right now, but if you're interested, I can try and find their name for you.

(1,732 posts)Friends have one, a small one but not cheap, about 200k. It's been in for repair several times and the warranty seems to cover nothing. They hesitate to take it on a long trip because they worry about a breakdown. So they go 50 to 100 miles from home and hang out for the weekend. Glad I never gave in to the impulse.

(36,332 posts)...buying an RV and living in it, so we subscribed to a couple industry magazines to help us sort out our options. What we mainly learned is that most manufacturers' profit derives from short cuts and false economy. Crappy materials, poor designs and specifications, and slipshod assembly, and the ones with the best reputations are the ones we can't possibly afford. Most owners will likely use their RVs and trailers just a handful of times, maybe a couple times a year, and they're built to reflect that.
