Corvette Convention held at Daytona. They are fun. Loved doing the 'fun runs' and reverse autocross as well.

It's fun to see who and what shows up and always a surprise when the simple little sleepers put on a good show.

I saw Mitsubishi Lancer show up once. The guy pulls out a jack and 4 wheels, swapped his street tires out then proceeded to show his car was, by far, the quickest around the track that day. That included several Vettes, a Shelby Cobra, a Lotus and a fast Alfa. At the end of the day he put those street tires back on and left.

Autocrossing is safe, healthy fun and a much better way to express one's driving skills than causing mayhem on the street. Glad you had fun and urge you to continue.

A tight course favors light and quick where a more open course favours power.
I've seen many large powerful cars humbled on some tracks where they can't get out of second.

Lots of fun. Inexpensive even with a special set of tires.
