But you already know that. Just a shy, unassuming Phillie fan since before birth sharing some info.

(40,004 posts)I bow to your one upsmanship. My Grandma told me I was a Phillie Fan before I was born. I didnt argue with Grandma. But your parents had big plans for you. Lets make a Phillie Fan My Dear.

(40,004 posts)I was ten. Got into the (day) games free after the third inning. Gene Mauch 1964. Will it ever die?
Do you still have the tickets? That would be some valuable merchandise.
My keepsake of renown, a replica of Schmidts 1980 WS Ring. Very nicely done.

(3,010 posts)I still have tickets from the best game I ever attended though. I think around 11 years ago they won in 19 innings.
Winning picture was Wilson Valdez the shortstop. Loser was a guy named Fisher on Cincinnati whose arm was dead because they had no pitchers left and he had already gone a bunch of innings. Almost the best part was that Valdez, who had a fantastic arm, hit Scott Rolen with a pitch.
When Valdez was pitching the fans were doing a great Wilson Wilson chant, and for Fisher they were doing a Fisher chant that sounded like the Larry chant Philly's fans did for chipper Jones, that right Wing conspiracy theory jerk.

(3,682 posts)The Flyers are my first. Grew up near Philadelphia. It can still be hard living in NYC 26 years now to root for NYC teams. I still can't stray now Philly vs NYC with my son a Knicks fan.

Tonight: Jordan Hicks (ERA 1.59) vs Aaron Nola (ERA 3.43)

(20,474 posts)and you only asked for one SF win. The buggers couldn't even do that much for you, Brother Buzz!
At least it's Colorado up next for your Giants!

(37,911 posts)Boy Howdy, the Phillies shlacked the Giants of Saturday, and on Sunday, the Giants retired the side with bases loaded in three different innings.
I'm guessing my crappy Magic 8 Ball was toying with me by giving me hope.

(40,004 posts)The Phillies are Red and White. Ive got enough Phillie Wear to last me the rest of my days, although another WS Shirt/Hat would be nice. In Red of course.
