The Yankees interlocking NY to 1935 ( Ruth never wore it), and the Dodgers to 1938 (1952 with the red front numeral).

The Yanks did have the NY logo on their caps though? Seems I remember photos/film clips of him and Gehrig in the NY caps.

BTW, what's your favorite jersey?

I'm a Yankee fan but I think the Cardinal's red bird jersey is tops.

7. Yes, the NY logo was on the cap during Ruth's years with the Yankees, and even before.

The logo went on the jersey in 1935, and his last year as a Yankee was 1934. Of the jerseys on your list, I chose the Dodgers. I always liked the white jersey with the royal blue script. The red numerals on the front of the home jerseys were added to make the unis special for the 1951 World Series. Oops! The Giants ruined that, so they were carried over to the next year.

My all time favorite is the 1932-35 White Sox home jersey. It had red block SOX letters running diagonally down the left side. The hole in the O was filled with a baseball, and a yellow bat ran underneath the letters.

4. Is New Yoik some sort of stereotype?

Based on the way New Yoikas talk? They're not Bostonians, ya know!
