I love the Cubbies, but I don't want any of my money going to a RW superpac, and I'm always skeptical about taxpayer money going to sports stadiums, even if it is Wrigley Field. We've done that here in Indy more than once, and it seems the taxpayers always end up getting reamed.

Over the past month, they are 14-12. If they keep playing like this, they'll not only stay out of the cellar, but they might even move up another notch or two in the standings. Too much to hope for, I know.

Since Rizzo arrived, they've been playing decent ball. But the suckage is so bad, it's hard to tell just how good most of these guys really are. I mean, put nearly anyone on the Cubs on any other team in MLB and see what happens. Does the term benchwarmer mean anything to you?
