Murphy. Go figure.

A team as good as the Cubs should not have dropped four in a row. They should have taken at least one of those games.

Then, Murphy. He has been a competent but ordinary ballplayer until this postseason. He explodes against the Cubs.

He is a free agent at the end of the season. We don't want him. We don't need a ballplayer on the Cubs who has the same name as the fucking goat.

I never believed in the curse when I was younger. That has changed, as the years go on.

I will still be there for the Cubs next year, the same as I have been for more than fifty years. I am a Cubs fan and a Democrat. We never stop being loyal.

by himself (yes that's an exaggeration but not by much). I was watching him during that game and he was extremely focused on the moment you could see it in his eyes.

We are nice to each other about it and attend each other's games. I was very happy for him when they won the World Series.

I see no reason to behave in any other way.

P.S. The only revenge I seem to have extracted was raising our three kids to be avid Cubs fans.

I grew up about a. Mile from Comiskey Park and we played baseball all summer long. There were always the Sox-Cubs jabs.
Of course,I always liked the North Side better, so you can take comfort in that.
I will even go so far as to admit (for the first time in my life, mind you) that the Cubs were FAR better than the Sox this year.
Congratulations on a great year, but the Sox will be back!

PEACE

P.S. I loved Ernie Banks!

While I would have liked it if they had at least won a game or two in this series, I am more than happy they made it this far. They had the third best record in baseball, and they knocked off #1 and #2 to get here. They ended the Cardinals' playoff run, and that is enough for me this year. They are a good team. If they can fill in their weak spots, such as pitching, over the winter, they will be a great team next season.

Go whoever wins the Royals/Blue Jays series!
