This was at Koshien Stadium, the home of the Hanshin Tigers, but other teams' fans have been doing this as well. They're called "jet balloons"

(30,163 posts)One of the employees at our local Trader Joe's makes jewelry, and often wears her own creations at the store. I once expressed admiration for one of her pieces, and she told me she was about to be at a nearby art show.
When I got to her display, there were several items that looked good at first glance. As I looked more closely, I was taken aback by how many of her designs looked exactly like sperm swimming toward an egg. I have no idea if this was intentional or an unfortunate design flaw.
It's probably the nurse in me, but once I had that image in my mind, I could not talk myself into buying earrings or a pendant that looked like a slide from biology class.
I didn't have the nerve to ask her if she meant for her pieces to look that way. If not, she probably would have been horrified by my interpretation.
