No, no, no. EXPLAIN IT. Explain why you wrong accused this journalist of -- to borrow a term -- "fake news." Maybe, MAYBE you can earn acceptance of your apology that way.

Until then, this person with no rooting interest in MLB will root against the Astros every time, unless they are playing someone with even-more-scum-baggy-management.

There are myriad ways their smearing of Apstein could have come about -- erroneous information, poor judgment, misplaced loyalty, active malice, etc. Until they come clean about how specifically that occurred, their apology is self-serving and weak.
