like the Washington football team is referred to. Has anyone heard if the team has decided on keeping the "Indians" name? I've been a fan for years and was glad to see the Chief Wahoo logo go. "Indians" seems neutral and not derogatory like the old R-word for the Washington football team was.

This franchise is a charter member of the American League.
Problem is MLB's lack of true revenue sharing and salary cap.
Cleveland is not alone. Kansas City, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis/St. Paul, etc. can't compete with the media billions awarded to Yankees and Dodgers.
Small market teams are just fodder for large market teams, and the fans have had enough.
