I've found a lot of vintage games on YouTube. As a Giants fan, it was fun to find the opening game of the '93 season, which happened to be the Giants home debuts of both Dusty Baker as manager and Barry Bonds, who had just signed with the team. But there are many more games of all teams. Here's one from the '50s.

(7,962 posts)I am a Cardinal fan and see these games on occasionally and think .. awww, nah. The most exciting thing that happened last year was the trade to get Arenado. But I barely watched even for an inning or two during the season.
I'm not a luddite who wants no change and I played into my teens and then again in my 50s and 60s for more than a decade for vintage teams. The greed and changes have made me just not care anymore.

(39,358 posts)Tampa wanted to play half their games in Montreal, which would've led to Tampa losing the Rays when they refuse to build another dome.
Miami, do I need to say more? Jeter left....after not doing anything but change the uniforms AGAIN.
I'm almost over it, but maybe I'll get to see some AAA games this year in Jax, but there wont be any pros in these games.

(7,962 posts)It's just amazing that these smart, extremely well paid people can't see they are killing the golden goose. The thing in Tampa is so obvious. Just move or fold because this nonsense about new facilities creating interest and commerce has been disproven time and again.
