That was a BS opening to the Mariners v Angles game today.

You don't open a game with a reliver who throws the first pitch at the hitter's head!

Then back that up with the first pitch in the 2nd inning, hitting the batter!

This kind of crap makes me not want to watch baseball. Espically if this was staged. With all this crap going on with the SCOTUS I want baseball to help me clear my head.

This is justice, baseball style. You throw at my guy, I'll throw at your guy. This how things are settled.
Case in point: What happened with the New York Mets and Chase Utley when he took a rather dirty slide into second to break up
a double play and broke the leg of Ruben Tejada. Because it was in a playoff game, the Mets couldn't retaliate at that time. So, they waited until they met up again the following season and Noah Syndegaard was on the mound that night.
MLB had already gotten wind of the situation and instructed the umpires ahead of time, to not let it get out of hand.
So what you will see, is umpire Tom Hallion who is also the crew chief handling the situation and placating a very heated Terry Collins.

I agree with what you say about baseball in general, but I don't believe it applies to this game. The Angles used their closer as the starting pitcher. After this melee they put in their real starter. This alone indicates to me that this was intenitional and staged as if it was a scripted reality show. Shame on them. Shame on baseball.
